Deuel County residents to vote on proposed power plant zoning permits

DEUEL COUNTY, SD (KELO.com) — Deuel County farmers say one power plant is enough.  A second plant is proposed for the area just north of Toronto, and zoning permits have been approved.  Residents circulated petitions to force a public vote to overturn the permits.  That vote will be part of the Deuel County ballot next Tuesday.
